How we read
A virtual room of readers — trained by real executives and creatives — that simulates the Hollywood process for you.
The Read Before isn’t a chatbot pitching bad ideas or flattering you. It’s a series of AI agents who each read, react, and weigh your script the way producers, actors, directors, and studio executives are going to. They’re trained to act like their real-world counterparts, serving their own commercial interests — so you get the most honest, straightforward feedback.
This isn’t meant to replace the real-world people or processes; it just gets you ready for them like nothing else can.
The four reads you'll face.
Each answers one question, delivers a verdict, and tells you what to address before moving onto the next phase.
Each reader reads your pages through their own lens and reaches their own verdict. Your project moves forward only when you’ve earned it.
The Read Before won’t pat you on the back. The real world won’t either.
Reads One and Two take a treatment, partial pages, or a full script; Three and Four need a full screenplay, 90+ pages.
The reads also help define what your film realistically is:
- Budget
- Genre
- Tier (main studio, genre label, specialty division, or streaming platform)
- Level of talent it can attract
So the notes are the ones your project would really get, not generic coverage.
And at the end, the "producer" gives it to you plainly: send the script out, polish it as a sample, or set it down and focus on the next thing. It’s honest about what it can’t see, then hands the call to you.
