1. Agreement.

By using The Read Before ("the Service"), operated by Three Rules LLC ("we", "us"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. The Service is currently a private preview or platform preview.

2. What the Service is.

The Read Before gives you a development read: an AI-driven analysis that simulates the reads your script would face from a producer, creative attachments, a studio, and a final greenlight — and returns verdicts and suggested fixes. It's a tool to help you develop your work. It is not representation, legal, or financial advice, and it connects your script to no real buyer.

Platform accounts may purchase read credits. A credit buys one completed private AI read. Sample reads and clearly labeled demo heuristics may be available without spending a credit.

3. No guarantee of outcomes.

The reads are opinions generated by software, not decisions by real industry buyers. We make no promise that your script will be optioned, sold, produced, or received any particular way by anyone. You are responsible for the creative and business decisions you make with your work.

4. Your material and intellectual property.

You keep all rights in everything you submit. We claim no ownership of your script, treatment, or any material you provide. You grant us only a limited, temporary license to process your material for the purpose of generating your read. We do not use your material to train models, and we do not store the raw material after the read — see the Privacy Policy for exactly how your material is handled.

We may store the generated report, notes, verdicts, and project metadata in your account so you can return to them. That stored report is our read of your work, not an ownership claim over your work.

You confirm you own or have the rights to what you submit, and that it infringes no one else's.

5. Acceptable use.

• Submit only material you have the right to submit.
• Don't submit unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
• Don't attack, overload, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Service.
• Don't resell the Service or share your demo access publicly.
• Don't attempt to bypass billing, credits, rate limits, or account controls.

6. The demo, "as is."

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. As a demo, it may change, pause, or be discontinued, and reads may be unavailable or incomplete at times. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or reliance on a read.

7. Changes and contact.

We may update these terms as the product grows, and we'll note the date at the top. The contracting entity is Three Rules LLC (d/b/a The Read Before); the governing law will be specified in the final terms before public launch. Questions: team@thereadbefore.com.
